I originally came up with the concept of the Judd Apatow theme 'Bromance.' I was in high school, and I always tried to express how I thought Jason Schwarztman of Rushmore was the coolest dude. He was in a band! And cool movies! You'll have to understand this is pre-Phantom Planet's 'California' being the theme song to The OC (also, it is pre cool-indie-hipster as an idea, as it is pre-Adam Brody's 'Seth Cohen', absolutely!)
I just thought he was a cool dude!
I crafted the name 'Dude Crush,' but noone in my high school of 600 thought it was acceptable behavior at all.
In another dimension Judd Apatow went to my high school, maybe.

You wish. Everybody ever came up with this. I totally thought I invented "man crush" when I was 14 when I had one on Nick Valensi of The Strokes fame.
